Arizona...a little late

Hard to believe that two weeks ago today I was flying home from Phoenix. It was a wonderfully perfect few days away! Jeannie and I always pick right up where we left off the last time, no matter how long ago the last time was. Our friendship has always been easy, with no need to fill silent spaces or explain ourselves. We're already dreaming of the next time, next location...

A beautiful little park we found in Scottsdale-

At the Phoenix airport, reluctantly heading home!

Easter Fun

We had some friends over last week to color Easter eggs...all 54 of them!!

Derby Day

Today Caleb participated in the pinewood car derby at our church and came in 2nd place! Here we are in the winner's circle...

And just to prove how ready we are for spring....this is Ethan about a month ago, trying to sunbathe on the dining room floor where the sun was shining in through the sliders. I know it's officially spring, but I hear freezing rain outside my window right now! But I can't complain- I'm leaving for a sunny and relaxing 3-day vacation with Jeannie R in a few days....pictures to follow!

Caleb

Caleb got his braces on today! He's had a great attitude about the whole thing so far. He was practically a celebrity upon returning to school after his appointment today. Remember when braces were cool??

The Look Says it All!

While we were decorating our Christmas cookies this year, I got a little distracted (imagine that) and returned to the kitchen to find that Andrew had used literally half of the sugar sprinkles in each container on just a few cookies. My first instinct was to scold him, but I grabbed my camera instead (probably a good move on my part!). I love this look- he's not sure if he's supposed to smile since he can see I'm not happy with what he did. Too funny!

Winter Fun

Sledding with Grandpa, Uncle Tony and the cousins...

Finally Finished!

So my wonderful husband took a day off of work a few weeks before Christmas to help me finish painting our upstairs- it's so nice to have this project finally crossed off my to-do list! And here is the end result...

I let Andrew help a bit with the painting...here is his masterpiece, entitled "rollercoaster". :)
